We begin with organic silk — sourced from GOTS-certified suppliers in Como, processed without harmful chemicals, biodegradable by nature. Not because it is easier. Because it is the only material that meets our standard for what should touch the skin every day. Naturally gentle. Traceable from fibre to finish.

We avoid synthetic blends — not as a constraint, but as a design principle. A garment that is pure in composition is easier to care for, longer-lasting, and simpler to return to the natural cycle at the end of its life. Cleaner by design. Honest by intention.

Every HERTH piece is made in Italy by skilled Italian artisans, in ateliers that uphold fair working standards at every stage. We produce locally and in small batches — because proximity allows accountability. We know exactly who makes our garments, and how.

We support initiatives focused on biodiversity and ecosystem protection — because the silk we work with begins in nature, and our responsibility to that origin doesn't end with the garment. We ship with carbon-neutral delivery options and package with FSC-certified, compostable, and GRS-certified materials throughout. Every detail considered. Nothing left to chance.
