BEAUTY CERTIFIED AT SOURCE

What a garment is made of matters as much as how it looks. That's why every HERTH piece begins with organic silk sourced from GOTS-certified suppliers in Como — a fibre chosen for its purity, its longevity, and the way it feels against the skin.

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is one of the most rigorous certifications in organic textile production — covering environmental requirements across the entire supply chain, from raw fibre to finished fabric, and ensuring strict social criteria at every stage. For HERTH, working with certified suppliers is the starting point of everything we make.

WHY ORGANIC SILK

A fibre with nothing to hide

Conventional silk production often relies on pesticides in mulberry cultivation and synthetic agents in processing and dyeing. Organic silk is different — and the difference begins long before the fabric is woven.

Our silk comes from mulberry-fed silkworms raised on organically grown leaves, processed without harmful chemicals within supply chains certified to the highest environmental and social standards. We source exclusively from GOTS-certified suppliers in Como — one of the world's most respected silk districts, where generations of craft tradition meet the exacting requirements of responsible production.

It is a choice that requires more rigour at every step. And a material that earns its place in every HERTH garment.

GENTLE BY NATURE

What organic silk does for your skin

Silk works in harmony with the body — breathable, lightweight, and naturally gentle on the skin. Because the skin absorbs much of what it touches, the purity of the material is not a detail. It is the point.

Organic silk, processed according to standards that avoid harmful chemicals, offers a naturally skin-kind experience — one that synthetic fibres and conventionally processed fabrics cannot replicate.

A conscious palette

Colour developed with care

The shades that define HERTH don't come from a standard colour folder. Each one is developed exclusively with Italian partners, using GOTS-certified dyes — through low-impact dyeing and digital printing processes designed to reduce water and energy use, and formulated under strict chemical safety standards.

The result is a palette that feels as considered as the organic silk it sits on. Exclusive shades, lasting colour, and full traceability — from the dye house to the finished garment.
