Learning to Leave Time Unfilled
A summer note from our founder.
I have always loved travelling to places where the days do not need to be planned too carefully — where you can drive along a road and stop whenever something catches your attention, spend longer than expected on a quiet beach, or decide where to have dinner only when the evening begins.
There may still be a destination, but no pressure to fill every hour or follow a perfectly defined schedule. Life finds its own rhythm, shaped by the light, the landscape and the way you feel in that moment.
Lately, I have been thinking about how difficult it has become to leave time truly unfilled. We are so used to moving, planning and searching for the next thing that even rest can become something to organise.
Perhaps slowing down is not simply about doing less. Perhaps it is about allowing a moment to remain empty, without immediately deciding what it should become.
I hope there will always be room for moments like these in my life — and in yours, too.
With love,
Antonietta
